Fischer’s dynamic fireclay storage radiators are manufactured by its parent in Germany and incorporate state-of-the-art heating technology. With no need for an expensive boiler, Fischer’s slimline radiators and room thermostats enable each room to be controlled at the desired temperature. A trickle charge to the radiator and its 100% heat transfer into the room makes Fischer’s heaters far more efficient than traditional oil or central gas-fired heating.
With over 100 staff and a distributed sales and service force, Fischers relies heavily on its complex IT infrastructure. After struggling with a server system that was not able to cope with the company’s growth profile, Fischers turned to SHBS for support.
After a period of consultancy to establish the exact requirements and most effective methods of interoperability, SHBS designed a new server-based infrastructure, specified to cope with Fischer’s current user base and scalable to support the company in the future. Part of the design was to re-use the existing equipment, extending its life and RoI, to run the company’s specialist stock control software.
